Community Corrections Institute (CCI) offers various programs in the areas of Native American Gangs and Tribal Issues. CCI staff are members of the American Probation and Parole Tribal Issues Committee and have provided various training programs dealing with Tribal corrections and Native Gang issues through CCI's partnership with Project Safe Neighborhoods and the Department of Justice.
CCI consultants have studied and researched various aspects of gang activity in Indian Country. To date, they have worked with law enforcement, educators and community leaders in over 65 tribal communities, providing gang and drug community threat assessments and training programs to assist in understanding, recognizing and addressing gang activity in Indian Country. They have also presented at numerous regional and national gang conferences and have provided gang consulting services for multiple federal agencies.
