Community Corrections Institute provides technical consultation and expert witness services to attorneys, department administrators, officers, and risk managers regarding community corrections procedures in the areas of use of force and parole and probation supervision practices.

Our primary litigation consultant and expert witness is Robert L. Thornton, M.Ed.,C.F.A. He is Director of Community Corrections Institute which provides consultation and training services to Federal, State and local parole, probation, community corrections and law enforcement agencies, primarily in the areas of officer safety, search and seizure, use of force and effective community supervision practices.

Mr. Thornton is a retired Supervising U.S. Probation Officer and has provided expert witness services in the areas of labor relations, use of force, search and seizure and probation/parole supervision practices to agency defense attorneys, states attorneys and plaintiff attorneys.
